Today we’re at the Sycamore Shoals Fiber Festival from 10am-5pm. Completely free and filled with demonstrations and ideas for EVERY kind of fiber-crafting! We are brining lots of yarn (some new yarns!), spinning fiber and shawl pins, so come by and say hello! March 13, 2010 (today!) PS. Because we’re all at the Fiber Festival, the Jonesborough [...] It’s been a month since the last sheep-y update and I thought you’d like to see how much the fleeces have changed in that short time.
It’s nearly time to free the girls from the weight of their fleeces. We’re planning a BIG Shearing Day party + picnic. To celebrate National Craft Month, we are going to share tips, tricks and patterns for every kind of yarn and fiber crafting, every SINGLE day the shop is open (and yeah, we’re a few days late, but I’m totally counting yesterday’s post about your hats)! What would you like to know more about this month? Handspun yarn? This Friday night (1/15), from 5-7p, come to the shop for a bit of Stitch Therapy. Bring any project your working on (knitting, crochet, spinning, anything!) and enjoy the company of your fellow crafters as we all work together. I (Tara) will be spinning a new line of yarns and Kim will be working on the fingerless [...] Just a quick note to let you know we are closed today, due to snow. This is such unusual weather for this area, that we didn’t really have a snow-plan in place, but we do now! We will be closed when Washington County Schools are closed (due to weather). I think it’s best to let the experts decide [...] |
